The Arve river which runs through Passy is an ideal playground for an introduction to white-water sports. Despite few obstacles there is a high rate of flow, since it takes its source from many glaciers in the Mont Blanc region. Passy is one of the major spots for rodeo, surf and freestyle. Also available is kayaking, hydrospeed, hairboat and canoraft.
